Tulipani – Tulips, Love, Honour and a Bike

Berlinale’s European Film Market (EFM):

Tulipani – Tulips, Love, Honour And A Bike, is A FATT (Netherlands) production in co-production with Don Carmody Television (Canada) and Stemo Production and Draka Production (Italy). Atlas’ Michel J. Vandewalle says: “The film looks fantastic. (Hans) de Weers has once again succeeded in producing a movie many people will talk about for years to follow. We have already found significant interest out of the USA and other countries for the film, even though we have only just begun introducing the title. A Canadian and Dutch release is already set, with A71 Entertainment picking up Canadian theatrical rights. Il Postino (The Postman), comes to mind when viewing Tulipani, as the two films share similar themes – Don’t be afraid of life; embrace it – and – People will only be able to control you if you are afraid of them. These ideas are more relevant now than ever before in today’s world. Tulipani is a warm and humorous movie for the heart, for young and old, that should bring comfort and laughs in these disturbing times.”
